People, places and quiet details

I photograph portraits, journeys, architecture and details — sometimes planned, sometimes found on the road. I’m drawn to people in front of the camera, places with their own mood and small observations that give an image calm and character.

Approach

Attention rather than control.

I like working with what a place already brings: available light, colours, lines and small movements. A shoot is allowed to develop as it goes.

Not every good image comes from control — sometimes it comes from paying attention.

RhythmFor me, a series does not need many photographs, but a good flow. Sometimes a quiet image opens it, sometimes a stronger frame, sometimes a detail.
Light & ShadowIn portraits, I like soft light because it makes faces feel more natural and calm. In architecture, landscapes and details, I look more for lines, shadows and contrasts that give an image depth.
ViewI am not only interested in the main subject. Often the character of a series comes from small transitions: a gesture, a surface, a colour or a moment at the edge.

Series & Themes

01

Portrait

In portraits I am not looking for a perfect pose at any cost. I am more interested in the moment when posture, gaze and surroundings come together and the person feels specific.

02

Place

A place does not have to be spectacular. Sometimes a wall, a line, a window or a piece of landscape is enough to give an image its frame.

03

Detail

I take small subjects seriously because they slow the eye down. They are not filler on the site, but short pauses between larger series.
